Hallo,

Hi artimetics!
First of all it would be good to know what kind of skin you have.
For a facial product we only use 0,5% of essential oils (your formulation has 1%).
3% Panthenol plus 3% Glycerin could be too much moisturising factors for a skin which is prone to breakouts.
Also the percentage of HA is way too high - normally we use 0,2%.
And as mentioned before, avocado oil and Shea butter could be the culprits as well.
You can get all your information from Olionatura where you can also find facts about ingredients.
You can run the pages through Google translator to get a better understanding of the matter.
All the best,
Judy

Danke an alle!
And thanks Judy for the language support
I have a mixed skin that usually is not too sensitive or acne prone.
HA: had no idea it's relatively high! I normally use 1-2% of it as i love the feel (and i saw The Ordinary HA product that has 2%).
EO: yes indeed, that was a big mistake and even caused me some headaches.
My next steps would be to lower also the Panthenol, Glycerin and Shea Butter and see if that helps. Otherwise I'll replace the Avocado oil with a different oil.
Thanks again!

Hi artimetics,
I have combination skin too. I don't tend to get pimples or spots too often but i do have problems with milia and "bumps". I don't use shea butter in my face products because i feel that it clogges my pores and leads to more bumps. My suggestion would be to reduce or skip the shea butter and work with stable oils like jojoba or squalane maybe with one percent cranberry or sacha inchi oil. Grape seed oil is also really beneficial for combination skin but rather unstable. I mainly use it in my night time routine.
My favorite ingredients to deal witth bumps is a combination of niacinamide and Lipodermin. In terms of emulsifiers i like to use a combination of lecithins (Lysolecithin and Phospholipon)
all the best
